A romantic comedy, an epic fairytale, a fiery philosophical debate, Man and Superman asks fundamental questions about how we live. I tell you, the first duty of manhood and womanhood is a Declaration of Independence Jack Tanner, celebrated radical thinker and rich bachelor, seems an unlikely choice as guardian to the alluring heiress, Ann. But she takes it in her assured stride and, despite the love of a poet, she decides to marry and tame this dazzling revolutionary. Tanner, appalled by the whiff of domesticity, is tipped off by his chauffeur and flees to Spain, where he is captured by bandits and meets The Devil. An extraordinary dream-debate, heaven versus hell, ensues. Following in hot pursuit, Ann is there when Tanner awakes, as fierce in her certainty as he is in his.

Comic theatre with songs Posted: Jan 1, 2015 3: 1 | Edit
Charfield Memorial Hall, Friday 22nd May starting at 8.00 - Normal Service will be resumed. A brief overview of the show: -
It's 1962 and things are not looking good. Kennedy and Khruschev are about to collide over Cuba, but the real trouble is brewing thousands of miles away, deep below the surface of Bristol. In a top-secret location, Skippy Catford, the ninny in the pinnie, cheerily mops away twenty years' worth of dust and grime from the BBC's emergency wartime studio. She hums the latest Brenda Lee whilst daydreaming about Stanton Drew, everybody's favourite velvet-voiced radio celebrity. When the Cold War suddenly heats up Stanton and Skippy are trapped underground with nothing but a pair of coconut shells and a swanee whistle to keep themselves amused. A whole bag of spanners drops into the world of 'Auntie' and Listen With Mother will never be the same again.
Bar & Refreshments available
Tickets locally from Steve's shop or call 01454 261180
