JUEY is a folky, bluegrass tinged, country singer songwriter playing the guitar, banjo and harmonica. Brought up on a musical diet of 50s and 60s rock and roll combined with country, bluegrass and cajun, then perhaps it was inevitable that a love for singing and playing music has created a live performance described by others as "one of those moments when I get goosebumps" (Paul Moss, BBC Introducing).
Juey received a great response from London 's renowned Troubadour venue alongside radio play from BBC Gloucestershire, Marie Crichton’s Country Show, BRfm and Recharged Radio. Recently reviewed by Maverick Magazine, juey is “an inventive and highly skilled writer with a good turn of phrase…a fine storyteller in the traditional style”.

She is also a vocal artist on the successful single ‘It Does Get Better’ achieving number 11 in the UK Radio 1 Indie Charts and over 180,000 YouTube hits.

ART EXHIBITION PREVIEW: Revelation: The Bizarre Visions Posted: 4, 2012 12: 0 | Edit
EXHIBITION PREVIEW: Revelation: The Bizarre Visions : 7.30-10pm
Please come along for a glass of wine and a preview of Rachel Beckett's exhibition which takes place this weekend at Under The Edge Arts in The Chipping Hall Wotton-under-Edge GL12 7AD

It's unusual for biblical texts to be treated purely as literature, but this is the approach taken by Rachel Beckett in her illustrations to 'The Revelation to St John the Divine', the final book of the Bible. Rachel is interested in the drama and surrealism of its prose, packed with images that are always vivid and almost universally bizarre, ranging from seven-headed monsters to fire-breathing horses. Each of Rachel's acrylic paintings illustrates one chapter of the book. In these colourful images the artist's aim has been to capture the energy and ferocity of the text, while always retaining a sense of its otherworldliness.

Gaz Brookfield - live music Posted: 4, 2012 12: 1 | Edit
Gaz Brookfield’s songs are instantly accessible, everyman tales of life, love and everything else in between. Played in a folk-ish style with occasional use of the guitar as a percussive tool, as well as some two handed venturing around the fret board, Gaz's simple yet poignant song writing captures the imagination of the listener.
"Great songs and solid playing... a talent to watch." Acoustic Magazine
