Christmas Tree Recycling

During the festive season Stroud District Council will be supporting our local hospice, Longfield, to recycle Christmas trees. For a donation, however big or small, the trees will be collected from residents doors saving the inconvenience of transporting them to the skips normally located throughout the district. For this reason, the Council will not be providing Christmas tree skips this year.

The organisation, ‘Just Helping’, working on behalf of Longfield, will be collecting trees in the Stroud District on 5th, 6th and 7th January 2018. All retailers in Stroud selling trees have been provided with literature from Longfield advising residents on how to recycle their tree. The information can also be found on the Stroud District Council website (click here) and will be included in our Christmas advertising campaign.

Once the trees are collected they will be shredded at the hospice and used on their gardens.

To arrange a collection residents can visit www.charityxmastreecollection.com or call 01453 886868 where a number of Longfield advisors will be happy to assist.wue-logo-250
