Stroud District Council Recycling Calendar

In previous years, Residents of Stroud District will have received recycling calendars annually. The cost of providing these calendars totalled approximately £15,000 – £20,000 this equated to £4,000 to produce them and £10,000-£15,000 to have them delivered. An operational decision in 2017 was made to stop providing them.

The council’s new waste services have, since Nov 2016 bedded in well and has encouraged residents to follow an easy process to ensure the correct containers are placed out each week for collection. After 15 months of the service, it is believed residents firmly understand what to do; this is supported by the fact that the council has not experienced any significant collection issues.

To help residents that may wish to be reminded of which containers to place out for collection, the council has provided electronic calendars on its website through the ‘My House’ function. It is recognised that some residents may not have access to the internet. Copies can be requested by contacting Stroud District Council on 01453 754424 and copies are also available at the One Stop Shop Wotton Town Council at the Civic Centre, 2 Gloucester Street which is open 9.00am-12.30pm Monday to Friday.wue-logo-250
