Your new waste and recycling service – a reminder

With Stroud District Council’s new waste and recycling collection service now in place – here’s a reminder of the new arrangements for collection of waste and recycling in the area.

Please remember to use the correct container for your waste and that black refuse sacks are no longer in use.

Please ensure that your waste is put out for collection by 6am on collection day, which is now Friday for Wotton-under-Edge.

Collected every week

  • Food waste – in a dedicated, sealed bin

Collected every two weeks

  • Green wheelie-bin/green bag – as present for food tins and drink cans and cans, glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles and packaging, aerosols and foil.
  • Recycling box – no changes – paper, cardboard and cartons
  • Left over non-recyclable waste in wheelie-bins (or beige bags where bins are impractical)
