B4058 Old London Road to Coombe Road (Rushmire Hill) Wotton Under Edge

This road will be closed from 1^st February 2023 to 5^th February 2023. This is to allow for works on behalf of Gigaclear. View map of closure

A4135 Whiteway Hill will be closed from 28th November 2022 until 9th December 2022.

Whiteway Hill to Waterley Bottom Road will be closed from 9th December 2022 until 21st Dec 2022.

Whiteway Hill to Black Quarry, Ozleworth, Wotton Under Edge

This road will be closed from the 9^th January 2023 to the 27^th January 2023. This is to allow for works on behalf of Gigaclear. View Plan

Remembrance Sunday 13^th November 2022

Wotton-under-Edge Town Council and local representatives including the Royal British Legion are holding a Remembrance Parade and memorial ceremony on Sunday 13^th November 2022.  There will be a simple route reducing the length of time for road closures with the Parade starting from the Chipping at 10.40am, which will proceed along Market Street, Long Street, and Church Street, arriving at the War Memorial in Old Town. The Civic Service will then take place at the memorial including the two minutes silence, playing of the National Anthem, and the laying of wreaths.

The parade will then continue along Culverhay to St Mary’s Parish Church where the parade will be dismissed. There will then be a short family friendly service at St Mary’s Church to follow to which all are very welcome. St Mary’s Church has a glorious poppy display inside the church.

Please be aware that the following roads will be closed and only access for emergency vehicles will be permitted. Please see below the times for the planned road closures.
