From Monday 3rd to Friday 21st December Hempsted Household Recycling Centre, near Gloucester will be temporarily closed to allow for some upgrades to the site. The existing equipment is old, breaks down frequently and has become expensive to maintain. The new equipment and method will save money and also give more operational flexibility.
During the closure residents will be redirected to their closest alternative centre, these being:
- Pyke Quarry near Stroud HRC (closed Wednesdays)
- Oak Quarry near Coleford HRC (closed Tuesdays)
- Wingmoor Farm in Stoke HRC Orchard (closed Wednesdays)
Hempsted HRC will reopen on Saturday 22nd December.
