Remembrance Sunday 13th November 2022

Wotton-under-Edge Town Council and local representatives including the Royal British Legion are holding a Remembrance Parade and memorial ceremony on Sunday 13th November 2022.  There will be a simple route reducing the length of time for road closures with the Parade starting from the Chipping at 10.40am, which will proceed along Market Street, Long Street, and Church Street, arriving at the War Memorial in Old Town. The Civic Service will then take place at the memorial including the two minutes silence, playing of the National Anthem, and the laying of wreaths.

The parade will then continue along Culverhay to St Mary’s Parish Church where the parade will be dismissed. There will then be a short family friendly service at St Mary’s Church to follow to which all are very welcome. St Mary’s Church has a glorious poppy display inside the church.
