Wotton under Edge Town Council is developing its priorities for the next five years and we need to know what matters most to our residents. These priorities will guide what the Town Council decides which projects and services to support.

The Government has launched a Local Government Review (also known as Devolution) which would mean that Gloucestershire County Council and Stroud District Council will be replaced by a unitary model however this could mean an opportunity for Parish and Town Councils to take on some of their facilities and services.

Recruitment to fill the current vacancies at Wotton under Edge Town Council is now underway. The process is being managed by a specialist team that work solely with the Town and Parish Council sector.

This coming Sunday – 26th April 2026 – sees the return of the ever popular Town Hall Teas.
There is a different local community group for each Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday selling delicious homemade cakes and teas/coffees/squash to raise valuable funds.

The residents of Wotton Under Edge are invited to join the 2026 Annual Community Meeting on Monday 20th April 2026 at 6.30pm. This is an informal meeting of the community including free refreshments.
Please join us to hear about the latest projects in the town including the Town Hall & Chipping Hall Repairs; Symn Lane Car Park; Symn Lane Play Area Improvement Phase 2; increasing the biodiversity of Wotton; future events including Wotton Pride, Wotton Summer Social; and more!
It is also an opportunity to meet your new Town Councillors and ask about becoming a Town Councillor
