The box is located at the top end of the Civic Centre car park and collection times are as follows

Highlights

  • Gloucester City Council has funding for Covid Compliance Grants to encourage and support communities in the city with measures to aid understanding of the regulations.  Page 19
  • Grants are available to local councils, organisations, schools, ex-service organisations and individuals for Armed Forces Day events. Page 22
  • The next deadline to apply to the Aviva Community Fund is 19 January 2021. Page 23
  • The B&Q Foundation is making grants to local charities for projects that support people experiencing bad housing or homelessness, as well as community projects looking to improve their spaces. Page 24
  • The CAF Resilience Fund is an emergency fund to help charitable organisations that support people hardest hit by Covid-19. Page 25
  • Groundwork is working with One Stop Stores to administer the One Stop Community Partnership Plans. These plans will support groups that are working to tackle food poverty or supporting the elderly within the local community. Page 30
  • The Trusthouse Charitable Foundation gives grants to organisations working in communities of extreme urban deprivation and deprived rural districts. Applicant organisations must have a postcode within the most deprived 15% of the Index of Multiple Deprivation. Small grants are now open, applications for main grants open on 9 November. Page 34
  • The Voice4Change England’s Covid-19 Partnership Fund aims to help tackle the disproportionate impact of Covid-19 on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities. Page 34
  • The Care Home Friends and Neighbours: Intergenerational Linking Project will link together young people aged 5- 14 years in schools or youth groups from deprived areas with older people living in care homes across England. Page 38
  • The Paul Hamlyn Grant Funds are re-opening on 30 October. Pages 42, 64, 65 and 131
  • Barnwood Trust has re-opened its individual grant scheme. Page 49
  • The Pink Ribbon Foundation is open for applications. The Foundation provides financial support to charities which support people affected by breast cancer or who work to advance the understanding, detection and treatment of breast cancer. Page 60
  • The Architectural Heritage Fund’s Cultural Recovery Programme will make grants available to support charities, social enterprises, town/parish/community councils and other not-for profit organisations occupying historic buildings to develop new business plans and strategies in light of the Covid-19 crisis.   • The Association of Independent Museums Biffa Award History Makers Scheme is open to museums, galleries and cultural facilities for projects that use the life and achievements of extraordinary, lesser known historical figures to inspire and educate visitors and users. Page 83
  • Both Sport England’s Small Grants and Community Asset Fund have re-opened to applications. The focus is on new applications to help support clubs and community groups through the ongoing coronavirus pandemic to return to play. They have also launched a new crowdfunding Active Together Fund. Page 90
  • Individual academies, academy sixth forms, free schools and those in Multi-Academy Trusts can apply to the Salix Energy Efficiency Fund to install energy efficient technologies to lower energy bills and create a more comfortable learning environment. Page 101
  • Homelessness, faith, community and voluntary sector organisations can apply to the Homelessness Winter Transformation Fund for funding to provide single room and COVID-19 secure accommodation for people experiencing homelessness this winter. Page 107
  • The Community Business Renewal Fund provides grants to community businesses affected by the Covid-19 crisis. The first funding round will be open for three hours only on 3 November. Page 110
  • The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation has launched a new funding strategy focusing on our natural world, a fairer future and creative, confident communities. Page 123
  • The Foyle Foundation has re-opened its schools library scheme for state funded schools, with priority given to primary schools. Page 125

Stroud District Local Plan Review: Additional housing options consultation

The Government is considering increasing the housing numbers for Stroud District to find through its Local Plan.

Stroud District Council is therefore launching a focused eight-week public consultation from 21 October 2020 to 16 December 2020 on additional housing options and sites, which could be brought into the emerging Local Plan, if required.

They would like your views on whether and how a reserve housing supply should be identified, in case any of the Local Plan’s site allocations were to fall short on delivering the numbers of homes expected.

Stroud District Council is keen to reach people who do not have access to the internet. If you know of anyone who may be genuinely unable to access this consultation online but would like to comment, please use Stroud District Council Local Plan hotline 01453 754143 (this is a dedicated hotline for contact details / document requests only) or email  local.plan@stroud.gov.uk to provide contact details (address) so a hard copy of this document can be sent to them.

 Alternatively, Stroud District Council are working closely with their neighbourhood wardens who will have leaflets available and will forward them any requests they receive for hard copies of document from people who are unable to access the consultation online.
