On Tuesday the 24^th of May between 1:55Pm and 2:10pm there was a theft from Mann Jewellers, Long Street, Wotton under Edge.

A Male entered the store described as a White male, Aged 30’s +, Slim build, short hair, Wearing glasses, and a dark pin stripe type suit.

He did show interest in a piece of Jewellery (ring) before snatching it from the counter then running from the shop. He ran directly across the road down Orchard Street side of Mountain Kingdom before getting into a vehicle.

He was seen by a number of people as he ran away and a number of people stopped.

The incident number was 264 – 24^th of May 2016.

If you did see anyone within the town of Wotton matching the description of the above male before or after or could even provide any vehicle details then please contact 101 quoting the incident number.

Wotton’s Secret Gardens Trail 29th May 2016

Following the May elections, there is still one place to fill on Wotton-under-Edge Town Council.

Wotton needs input from local people who care what happens to the town. It’s a great opportunity to speak on behalf of local people and help to improve local services.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to start a structured 12-month Youth Work Apprenticeship training programme with the Wotton-under-Edge Youth Work Team. The role involves working with partner organisation Under the Edge Arts, to assist with the planning and delivery of youth arts initiatives.

The opportunity is part of the Creative Employment Programme in Gloucestershire.
