Emergency Funding Bulletin
In light of the coronavirus we are publishing a separate bulletin with emergency funds. This is updated regularly on our website at http://www.glosvcsalliance.org.uk/external-funding-opportunities-bulletin/.
Recent updates to the emergency bulletin include:
- The Asda Foundation has launched two emergency grants. Hygiene Grants focus on personal hygiene dignity, and supporting residents/patients in facilities who are unable to provide their own toiletries. Healthy Holiday Grant designed to support groups that typically would be holding summer holiday activities to ensure children are provided with a hot meal.
- The British Red Cross Hardship fund provides short term financial help for individuals who can’t afford essentials such as food and toiletries, somewhere safe to sleep, access to a telephone or the internet.
- BBC Children in Need Next Steps programme, aiming to help established organisations to adapt and continue to meet the needs of disadvantaged children and young people, is open until 1 July.
- A second round of the Domestic abuse safe accommodation: COVID-19 emergency support fund is open.
- The deadline to apply to the National Lottery Heritage Emergency Fund has been extended to 31 July.
- Historic England has launched a second emergency Heritage at Risk fund to support the heritage sector recover from the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic. Applications are open until 28 June.
- The Edge Foundation has launched a one-off £250,000 fund to address educational challenges arising from the aftermath of the Covid-19 crisis.

Key highlights:
- Gloucestershire County Council have launched the Know Your Patch Networks and Thriving Communities Grant for 2020 -2021. Page 14
- Grants are available from the Co-op Local Community Fund for small, locally based voluntary and community groups to support projects which benefit local communities centred around Co-op Food Stores and funeral homes. Page 23
- Phase 2 of Ecclesiastical’s Movement for Good Awards is now open. This scheme is for registered charities which support the advancement of education and skills; citizenship or community development; arts, culture or heritage. 10 charities will receive a £50,000 grant. Page 24
- The Heart of England Community Foundation is currently open to grants from Gloucestershire organisations for the #iwill Fund. #iwill is a UK-wide campaign that aims to make social action part of life for as many 10 to 20 year-olds as possible. Page 32
- The Carers Gloucestershire Legacy Fund is now open for applications. It has been established to bring lasting benefit for adult carers in Gloucestershire by supporting organisations, projects and carers who might otherwise go unfunded. Page 53
- The Michael Tippett Musical Foundation has funding available for the development of group music making, especially involving young people, with composing central to the project. Page 60
- Through the Nationwide Community Grant, funding is available for housing related charities and projects. Page 99
- The Baring Foundation is making grants to registered charities with legal expertise in their area of focus to help protect vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals from the impact of covid-19. Page 103
- Charities, voluntary organisations, and community groups can apply for grants for activities that highlight the dangers of Loan Sharks and have a positive impact on their communities. Page 105
- The Foyle Foundation’s Small Grants Scheme has re-opened to support smaller, grass-roots and local charities. Organisations currently delivering services to the young, vulnerable, elderly, disadvantaged or the general community either directly or through online support can apply for grants of between £1,000 and £10,000. Page 120

- Arts Council emergency funding: Art Shape, Artlift, Canopy, Cheltenham Trust, Gloucester Culture Trust, Hawkwood College, New Brewery Arts, The Music Works, Under the Edge Arts, World Jungle, and Your Next Move.
- COVID-19 Homelessness Response Fund: Cirencester Housing for Young People and Gloucester City Mission
- Domestic abuse safe accommodation COVID-19 emergency support fund: Stroud Beresford Group
- Tesco Bags of Help Covid-19 Communities Fund: Newent Association for the Disabled, Forest Sensory Services, Allsorts, The Wiggly Worm, Gloucester Foodbank, CCP, WAM Youth, Fair Shares, The Churn Project, GL11, Goals Beyond Grass, Cotswold Counselling and Listening Post.
