Active Gloucestershire are recruiting for a fixed term position, to join their children and young people team for the role of Youth Development Officer.
This role is a job share with Young Gloucestershire and it provides a fantastic opportunity to work across both Active Gloucestershire and Young Gloucestershire teams. They would like you to help their work by building relationships with young people and understanding their individual needs, so they can begin to empower them to change their futures, through physical activity and sport.
A key part of this role is to support young people (aged 10-25) to develop their life chances through a more active lifestyle. The successful applicant will create, share and develop opportunities for children to be active within targeted communities, as part of a new approach within we can move, which aims to tackle inequalities facing young people within Gloucestershire.
At the heart of this approach lies a desire to elevate the voices and champion the skills of children and young people and to play a leading role in reducing the inequalities they face.
