Due to changes in legislation resulting from European Directives, the Town Council has been informed that our supplier cannot lawfully supply Armistice maroons this year. The company usually imports the maroons specially for Armistice Day – because of the new legislation they are not importing any and will therefore not be supplying any this year. They are looking at ways to resolve this for the future. The Town Council has therefore been unable to obtain any maroons, so unfortunately there will be no firing of maroons at 11am on Remembrance Day, 11th November.
