Gloucestershire County Council Highways Department will shortly be delivering a surface dressing programme to improve the condition of 21 roads around Gloucestershire, including the Wotton-under-Edge area.
A schedule of this work is published online at www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/surface-dressing and will be updated regularly. Surface dressing is highly weather dependent and dates are likely to change at short notice. Please keep an eye out for local signage and changes will be published online and social media feeds:

In the majority of cases, to ensure the safety of road users and the workforce, the road will be closed while the works take place. Pedestrian access will be maintained and short diversions will be in place.
GCC advises that they will not be able to guarantee access for vehicles in or out of the work area except in emergencies. Please avoid leaving parked vehicles on the road when the surface dressing is scheduled to take place.
