Wotton-under-Edge Lions Give Old Town Toilets a Make over

The Lions Club helps the local community both through voluntary work and fundraising. They have recently given the public toilets in Old Town a much needed make over. The club decided to use their decorating skills to improve the exterior appearance ot the toilets following comments from visitors who after admiring the beautiful hanging baskets in the town centre, had said that the toilets let the town down. The toilets are close to the War Memorial, which is the main bus stop in the town, and are used by many locals and visitors. The work is now complete and the toilets are looking far more presentable.

The Town Council is very grateful for the support given by the Lions, Chamber of Trade and local residents in improving this facility. Photographs courtesy of Mrs J Tebb. Old Town toilet volunteers paint
