Wotton-under-Edge Town Council has instructed scaffolders to erect scaffolding around the frontage of Wotton Town Hall from early December for a period of 36 weeks.
A grant to Historic England for £25,000 (to fund some of the work) has been refused twice. The alternatives to fund this work are to use all reserves and also take out a public works loan and raise the Precept (i.e. the public paying via taxes).
